Terms and Conditions of Business and Code of Conduct
In this statement we set out the terms and conditions of business of High Beech Horse Riding School, and the code of conduct which High Beech Horse Riding School expect of all our clients at all times. We hope that you will co-operate with us in making High Beech Horse Riding School one of the foremost equestrian centres in the country.

Terms and Conditions of Business
- You are required to complete a Rider's Assessment and Undertakings Form before you are allowed to ride.
- You are required to have an assessment lesson before you are allowed to join a ride.
- If, for any reason, you are unable to attend a ride you must give a minimum of 24 hours advance notice of cancellation. Failure to do so will result in you being charged the full fee for that ride at the time of your next ride.

- (Please note our answering machine will log the date and time of your telephone call)
- High Beech Horse Riding School are unable to accommodate riders of 86 kilos (13 stones) and over. You may be asked to verify your stated weight at any time. Refusal to do so will mean termination of all bookings .
- Riding is a high risk sport. You are stronglv advised to take out your own insurance.
Code of Conduct
- I understand that riding at any standard has inherent risk and that all horses may react unpredictably on occasions.
- I may fall off and could be injured. I accept that risk.
- I understand that instructions are given for my safety and agree to follow instructions given to me by staff and instructors of the riding school.
- I reserve the right not to ride a horse allocated to me and may request a change of instructor.
- I understand that wearing an appropriate riding hat and body protector may reduce the severity of an injury should an accident happen and agree that I will always wear a riding hat whilst riding, leading and grooming horses at the riding school. I understand it is my choice whether or not I wear a body protector.
- I understand that the riding school will make decisions based on information I give them and agree to always be honest and volunteer information about: my abilities and riding experience, any previous riding accidents, any medical condition(s) which may affect my ability to ride.:

- I understand that children are at particular risk around horses and agree that I will keep children that I am responsible for, under close supervision when they are not being instructed by the riding school.
- I understand that the riding school may refuse my request to ride for safety or operational reasons.
- I understand that competing carries enhanced risk over and above general riding and agree that if I chose to participate in any competition or event, it is up to me to ensure that I have the experience and ability to ride the course including any jumps which form part of it. If I am in any doubt, I will use my judgment and experience and not enter.
- Smoking is not allowed in any part of the yard at any time.
- You must not run in any part of the yard at any time.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead.
- The speed limit within the yard is 5mph.
- Please note that when driving your vehicle within the riding school premises, that all horses have the right of way.
- Parts of the yard are uneven and may be slippery, please ensure you are wearing suitable footwear even if you are not riding.
- In the event of any emergency e.g. Loose horse etc. stand well clear and alert a member of staff immediately. As horses can be unpredictable please do not try to intervene.
